Radiohead have entered the UK album chart at number one this week (January 6) with 'In Rainbows, almost three months after they made it available to download for whatever price fans fancied.
A Babyshambles reunion with former member Patrick Walden was foiled when the guitarist quit the band's UK tour on the opening night in Manchester (November 22), it has emerged.
The Welsh four-piece, who just missed out on promotion from Roxy 3, dub the goths 'crap'. The Automatic have lashed out at The Horrors this week, branding the goth newcomers as "Sucking" and "Hyped". The Automatic, who are currently in the middle of their biggest UK tour yet, said the band have "only got four songs" and they are "all style over cotent".
The eighty bands entered into The Roxy League have been battling Nineteen weeks. Over ten thousand votes have been cast and we now have the winners, losers and all other places.
Oasis.
Oasis started off with a shaky start drawing with both the Arctic Monkeys and Blur 1-1.
Roxy favourites The View have shot in with the second highest new entry to score a number 15 hit. The View are also 2nd inthe Roxy 3 this week as well as 1st in the NME chart. The Scots band entered the chart at Number 15 with their new single 'Wasted Little DJs'.
The Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs and Milburn all top thier respective leagues. Only Dirty Pretty things (who top Roxy 1) are not from yorkshire.In the games still being played (Vote ends 16th June)Monkeysare only a few percentage points ahead of old stalwarts Blur. Both bands have full points from two games, with Arctics narrowly ahead of Radiohead on Goal difference. Other big hitters in top half of the table include Oasis andStereophonics. Like Manchester United, and Arsenal the super bands are collecting thousands of votes leaving many of the young pretenders standing.
Over 5 thousand votes were cast and the group stages have now been decided. The bands chosen for their musical prowess have been slimmed from forty to just twenty. The top two bands in each of our ten groups will now go on to compete in the Roxy 3 league. The Automatic were runaway winners in group 5.

The group, spearheaded by guitarists Barry Dobbin and Luke Smith released their self-titled debut LP last year, which brought forth the singles 'Love And Pain' and 'Good Stuff'.
OK, so let's get this over and done with, coz I know this is gonna sound familiar. Yes they are all teenagers, it's true they write great lyrics; sure they are from Sheffield, and certainly there are four of them. Open up your ears however, and Milburn are an entirely different kettle of fish altogether.
